    Minnesota Vikings Vikings Misc Thread

Post anything Vikings (or anti-Packers, Bears, Lions, etc.) related that doesn't really warrant it's own thread. This could be pics, gifs, memes, jokes, stats, etc.

Only Barr was held out of practice today. Doesn't seem like anything serious. I'm pumped about the trip to Pittsburgh. Minnesota hasn't won a game in Pittsburgh since Jesus was a child, it seems.

Pittsburgh is vulnerable and their secondary has been the Achilles Heel since Polamalu retired. The best pass rush wins the game. Look for Barr and Kendricks to shine and take away a lot of what Le'Veon can do in open field.

It seems like Ben will be easier to get pressure on since he tends to hold the ball longer like Rodgers does. Now whether we bring him down, I'm not sure.

If Barr is out that'll hurt though. But yeah I haven't heard anyone else that's been nicked up. I guess Rhodes is fine? Seems like it was just cramping in the game but I wasn't sure if there was anything else more serious than that.

Rhodes came back in and we didn't hear about him at all after. Perhaps we do get lucky this year in the injury front.

On another note, I'm disappointed the Niners snatched up Elijah Lee. Had high hopes for his future in Minnesota.

Yeah I saw that. When we drafted him I honestly expected him to end up being the better player than Gideon; he seemed more like the type of athletic linebacker we've been trending towards.

We signed LB Antwoine Williams off the Lions practice squad to take his place.

EDIT: Sam Bradford was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week. Pretty cool to see, it's his first one.

I listen to Paul Allen's radio show yesterday and there didn't seem to be much concern. Curious to see where he's at today in practice.

And now Rhodes and Newman are limited with injury, while Barr is out again:

Bradford's knee injury is more serious that originally reported - he had an MRI done.

Zimmer says he "anticipates" that he'll play, but I'm really worried. It's definitely a Vikings thing for Bradford to have the game of his life but now be injured.

I did hear that Barr practiced Friday, which is good.

Case Keenum getting extra reps after practice:

Strangely, I actually think Keenum could do alright for a few games if he had to. Hopefully it doesn't come to that, though. And I think if Bradford is limited in the Steelers game then we pretty much auto-lose.

EDIT: Bradford, Barr, and Rhodes are all listed as questionable: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...le-for-sunday/

Bradford's knee going from 0 to Armageddon now raises a ton of concerns. I found it intriguing that almost 10 minutes after Bradford was ruled out today, Teddy was officially announced as coming off the PUP after Week 6.

Seems the Vikings just can't win at the QB position. One flukie year of Favre aside, it's been complete a joke-of-a-position since Culpepper was heaving dimes to Moss in the late 90's. God I hate the NFL.

Yeah, I don't know what to think. Part of me hopes that this is just a one week thing and Bradford is good to go by next week, and sitting out a game we probably lose even if he plays was the smart decision, but I could definitely see this being a nagging thing that takes weeks to recover from. I guess once Teddy is good to go, he'll get his shot. Keenum looked awful out there, had zero pocket presence and kept dropping back way too far to allow the edge rushers to easily get by the tackles.

At least the damn Packers are gonna lose. Now we just need Detroit to get beat and suddenly dropping a game to Pittsburgh doesn't look so bad.

Looks like it's a bone bruise for Bradford. Apparently it's anywhere from 2-4 weeks to recover.
